Zackary Ti Franklin, 21, of Pineland, Texas passed away Saturday, August 30, 2020 in San Augustine, Texas.

Zack was born in Beaumont, Texas on April 24, 1999 to Johnny Lavelle Franklin III and Brooke Danielle Whitton Franklin.  He attended West Sabine High School where he was active in baseball and football and a member of the graduating class of 2018.   After high school, he became a boilermaker in the refinery industry.  He loved to go hog hunting and four wheeling and he liked big lifted trucks.

Zack was a very stubborn, full of life young man who loved kids.  He was very headstrong and always had to have the last word with his sister, but he always had her back when she needed him.  He will always be his sister's protector.

Zack is survived by his parents, Johnny and Brooke Franklin of Pineland; grandparents, James and Shelia Whitton of Evadale, Johnny Franklin, Jr and Sherry of Pineland, Patsy Bozeman of Bronson, and Vivian Franklin of Milam; son, Brantley Michael Franklin of Hemphill; daughter-to-be, Leighton Ti Franklin of San Augustine; girlfriend, Kristen Skinner of San Augustine; sister, Harlee Franklin of Pineland; and aunts and uncles, Bo and Amanda Rulon of Silsbee, Bryan and Nikki Kirbow of Evadale, and Jerry and Amber Whitton of Evadale.

He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Johnny Franklin, Sr. and Carl Bozeman; grandmother, Viola "Tootsie" Stone; and very special friend, Gary Michael Sturrock.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church in Pineland under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Cornelius Gilder and Demond Williams officiating.

Burial will follow services in Plainview Cemetery with Brandon Lane, Michael Martin, Erik Ringo, Eddie Lane, Jessie Biscamp, Shawn Faver, Riley Helmer, Blake Ponder, Brandon Henderson, Cheyenne Ramsey, Charles "Scooter" Wasson and Krystian Portmann serving as pallbearers and Devon Lovick, Ciro Canal, and Brantley Franklin serving as honorary pallbearers.
